Wall Painting Competition held in Junagadh

To create awareness in society on some social issues such as Save Girl Child, Global Warming,Save Water and Pollution leading media house Divya Bhaskar Group and Junagadh Police Dept. had organised Wall Painting Competition on 1-5 June 2012 in Junagadh.

Three Wall sites selected to paint the ideas of artist on it

i.e.

1) Police Quarter Wall , Jayshree Cinema Road,

2) Sardarbaug Bahumali Bhawan Wall,

3) Junagadh Agri. Uni. Wall

Participants across the Saurashtra and Gujarat took part in the competition and made best efforts to convey the message through wall paintings. People of junagadh interestingly welcomed the move.

But really it has any mean for political parties except common man. After independence lot of programmes and packages are implemented by state and central govts. Celebration of Democracy at Kolva in Jamnagar district

It is a three tier democracy system in our constitutioni.eVillagelevel, Taluka and District level. In recent past village level election for the Gram Panchayat is over, many villages selected the Sarapnch (Village President) without election, rest followed election and villagers have chosen their leader by casting vote.

Kolva smallvillageofJam Khambhaliyataluka in Jamanagar district had 6 candidates for the single post, so it was difficult situation for the both and election was last things for selection. Everybody was in tension that due to election conflict may occur, but educated youths of village spread the message of healthy democracy process and to select best one.

Finally, election held and Ramabhai Parabatbhai Nandaniya elected as Sarpanch of Kolva village.

Now, to keep whole village united newly elected sarpanch will organize get together meet for the villagers. During the meeting Blood Donation and Health Camp will be held with the help of Late Shri Hemantbhai Madam Memorial Trust, Jamanagar on 12th Jan 2012 atKuvadiyaMahadevTemple in Kolva.

Earthquake shake Junagadh, Saurashtra and Gujarat

તારીખ ૨૦ મી ઓકટોબર ૨૦૧૧ ને ગુરૂવારની રાત્રીના ૧૦.૪૮ કલાકે જુનાગઢ શહેર તથા ગામના લોકો લગભગ દિવાળીના ધુંહઝારા તથા ખરીદીના થાકથી પરવારી બેડ પર પડયા ના પડયા તથા કેટલાક લોકો હજી ઓટલા પરીષદમાં જ બેઠા હતા ત્યાં સમગ્ર જુનાગઢ તથા જીલ્‍લા તેમજ સૌરાષ્‍ટ્ર ભરમાં ૫.૩ ની તીવ્રતાના ભૂકંપે હાહાકાર મચાવ્‍યાના સમાચારો ભૂકંપની ઝડપે જ ફેલાય ગયા હતા.

જો કે નસીબજોગે કોઇ જાનહાની કે મીલકતોને નુકસાની થયાના સમાચાર નથી.

રાત્રે આવેલા ભૂકંપે ફરી લોકોને ૨૦૦૧ ના કચ્‍છના ભૂકંપની તો યાદ અપાવી અને અને સાથે સાથે ભગવાન પ્રત્‍યેની શ્રદધા માં પણ વધારો કર્યો.
